PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:-

Job description:

As a Java developer, you’ll be involved on projects concerning Teradata application.

In coordination with Paris teams, you’ll take part in:

• Participate in implementation, including maintenance, error removal, logic optimization, testing, final corrections, and program and run time documentation.
• Troubleshoot reporting issues. Trace data/logic and report back on root cause.
• Participate to the delivery process.
  Progressive experience (4 to 6 years) in software development especially JEE based Web Application.
  •Good knowledge of Data structures, Algorithms and Design patterns.
  •Strong experience of Core Java, XML, SQL, Hibernate (any ORM), and OOPS concepts.
  •Knowledge of Spring Framework, Java Script, CSS, HTML, REST, Messaging is preferable.
  •Experience of any RDBMS preferably Oracle.
  •Clear understanding of OS Fundamentals.
  •Working experience of Unix/Linux.
  •Should have created at least one re-usable framework.
  •Preferable to have experience with JBoss application server.
  •Exposure to agile/iterative development process and unit testing, JUnit.
  •Excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to work closely with teammates, product  management, QA and Ops.
  •Excellent communication and time management skills.
  •Strong understanding of the server side software, scalability, performance and reliability aspects.
  •Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative and iterative programming environment.
  •Experience in Financial Services.
   Education/Degree(s) BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.

Technical Skills:

Technology or Platform :	AIX 6.1
Coding Skills :	Java, XML, SQL, shell UNIX
Minimal Tools to know:	Java
Minimal Required experience :	3 years at minimum is required including experience with risk domain

Special Technical Knowledge:

• Write, debug, diagram, create flowcharts, code, and document programs.
• Assist with design, deployment and support of Java reporting solutions.
• Coordinate with other technology work teams to ensure project success.

Behavioural Skills:

The role must have the following behavioural skills:

·         Ability to work in multi-task way and manage multiple projects with changing priority

·         Ability to support the project manager to resolve operational issues

Note: May involve travel to Paris for 1 month.

Must have a background of working as an hands on coder preferably in risk domain with investment banking / product based companies.
